About
The association has around 300 students who train regularly at one our Dojo's, we have clubs in Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Our students are all ages, from 4 years and upwards, men and women, boys and girls, often with members of the same family training together. We offer no barrier to race or creed, ability or disability.
We are an association of Karate clubs that follow the traditional forms of Karate, as originated by Master Gichin Funakoshi (1868 - 1957), we joined the World Japanese Karate Association in 2014 to study and practice traditional karate and all its values.
All our instructors undergo police authority checks, qualify in first aid, register with local council/sports authorities where required, and undertake our own courses (including passing written tests) to qualify as Assistant, Club, and Association instructor to the WJKA Level.
Please get in touch if you are interested in joining one of our clubs.
Beginners
Joining A Regular Training Session
Training Fees are £12.00 for two hours. Beginners attend a five week beginners course at the cost of £20.00, then move up to join the full class. Training fees are paid weekly at the start of the lesson or via online, so there is no need to pay for lessons that you are unable to attend.
All students need to wear a Karate suit or Gi once regular training begins. This is obtained from your instructor at a cost £30 for the standard lightweight item.
Each person training with us must be registered with the governing body and have insurance. We cover this by issuing each student with a license, which must be renewed each year in January. The license fee is currently £25. This can be paid in cash or card, whichever is easier.

Gradings And Belts
Students' experience and ability is denoted by a series of coloured belts, which are attained in stages, with a grading examination to make sure students are ready to progress.
Beginners will need to complete 8 weeks training before grading for their first (blue) belt. For higher grades this increases to a minimum of 20 hours training between belts. If you are unable to complete enough hours, you will still be able to come to the training sessions, but you will be unable to grade until the next grading.
We hold a grading examination about every 12 weeks. These are usually held at Brooklands farm primary school, Brooklands farm, Milton Keynes, MK10 7AU (Countess Way campus).
Beginners start at: 10:00am
